Body's 5 Signs You Aren't Eating Enough

There are certain points in your life when you may be extremely stressed, pressed for time, or not feeling well and this takes a toll on your appetite more than you know. No matter the cause, neglecting your diet can make your metabolism and your hormones go out of whack. Learning to recognize hunger cues and your body's signals can be a huge component of feeling better. Here are eight signs that you could be eating less than your body needs.

1. Low Energy

If you have been feeling exhausted even after you have snoozed for 10 hours, it may be time to investigate what you have been eating. This is specific for the carbohydrate group because it is what gives your muscles energy. When undereating your body can't perform at its optimal capability.

       2. Dizziness

Did you stand up too fast? Dizziness is related to not eating enough, and this happens because it makes your blood sugars drop. Try to stabilize your blood sugar with a quick snack to give yourself a boost.

3. Brain Fog

You have to feed your brain. When going for a long period without something to eat you may be more prone to forgetting the little things or not being able to think clearly. It is best to fill up on whole foods and get healthy fats (omega- 3 and 6) and carbohydrates!

  4. Brittle Nails and Hair Loss

To get those luscious locks, you have to nourish your hair from the inside out. Hair, skin, and nails are closely related to the vitamins and minerals that you take in. Some good sources are salmon, spinach, eggs, beans, and berries.

5. You Mad??

Being hangry is a real thing! Eating consistently throughout the day can stabilize your mood. Studies show that low glucose levels can lead to irritability and maybe even catch an attitude. Eat when you feel the need. Take the time to understand your body, you may need to re-evaluate your diet to help with the symptoms. Other signs can be extreme thirst, cold all the time, not having regular bowel movements and loss of your period. Remember, eating too little is just as unhealthy as eating too much. Find the right amount of food intake that works best for you
