Ghosts on Banana Brownies

Ghosts on Yummy Banana Brownies

This blog post is calling anyone who has interaction with kiddos!! - Moms, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, or students. This is the perfect time of year to get the kids baking with you, enjoying the fun, and learning something cool while doing that! When kids are involved in the baking they are more likely to want to help again and remember what they learned. Today, I am going to share a kid friendly ghost banana brownie recipe that I created! :) This recipe is lower in fat than brownie recipes that require butter to make. For this recipe the bananas are substitutes for the butter... HOW CRAZY and yummy! This recipe makes for a great chocolate brownie with only a hint of banana flavor!! I would definitely recommend trying this recipe at home!

Ingredients:
½ cup of bananas
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
⅓ cup cocoa powder
½ cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tub milk chocolate duncan hines icing

6 medium sized marshmallows

Directions:
-Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F
-Spray brownie dish with non-stick spray
-Heat 1/2 cup of bananas in a large sauce pan on medium heat continuously stirring until melted. Remove from the heat and stir in 1 cup of white sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Once that is stirred, mix in 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. After the batter is thoroughly mixed, add in 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips before pouring batter into brownie dish. Spread into pan.
-Bake for 25 minutes
-Let cool, then spread milk chocolate duncan hines icing onto brownies
-Decorate marshmallows into your favorite ghost face and place onto brownies.
