XOXO

To My Valentine,

It is the most romantic time of the year! I don’t know about you but I hear a lot of people claim to not like this holiday known as Valentine’s Day? Everyone still celebrates it though even a little bit ;) So if you want to make someone’s day, I have the perfect little tips for you! And guess what? You can make this holiday healthy too!!

One of my favorite easy recipes for this day!! —> Dark Chocolate Bark

Ingredients:
9.5 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
1 cup almonds
1 cup dried apricots, chopped
½ cup dried cranberries

First, you melt the two chocolates together in a glass bowl set over water that is gently boiling in a pot on the stove. Then put parchment paper down on a cookie sheet. Pour the chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread the chocolate into a rectangle shape. Sprinkle the almonds, apricots, and cranberries onto the chocolate. Let cool for two hours until it is hard and then cut into the size pieces you want and serve it at room temperature.

I got this recipe from the food network but it is altered a little bit to the way I personally like it! I put the link down below to their recipe if you want to see it!

Always Remember:
- Dark chocolate is good for your heart.
- Combine almonds and dark chocolate as a treat!
- Be creative! You could make strawberry and banana smoothies and top them with heart shaped strawberries!
- Go on an active date, somewhere you can walk around and be on your feet.
- Exercise is good for your heart.
- Enjoy :)
