Let the Season of Crockpot Recipes Begin!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like the fall is such a busy time of the year, and it becomes hard to make dinner on certain days. However, the fall also means that the handy crockpot can be used more often! Who does not love using the crockpot? The crockpot makes cooking so easy and simple, and I know I love an easy meal that does not require much energy or effort. One recipe that I found for the crockpot and absolutely love is parmesan garlic chicken pasta. My family tried this one night, and now we are obsessed with it! The meal is easy to make and is an easy way to have a protein source at the meal. Having chicken in the recipe is an easy way to provide vitamins and minerals that offer many key benefits to the diet. The vitamins and minerals in the chicken help support brain function and mood regulation, promote healthy skin and hair, help with bone health, help with muscle repair, immune function, cell growth and repair, and support muscle growth and maintenance. Crockpot Parmesan Garlic Chicken Pasta
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours and 5 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
12 ounces parmesan garlic sauce
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
8 ounces cream cheese, cut into pieces
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
10 ounces dry pasta, cooked and drained
Instructions:
Spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot
Pour the entire bottle of parmesan garlic sauce over the chicken
Add the cream cheese and parmesan cheese on top of the chicken and sauce
Cover with the lid and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours
Shred the chicken before serving and stir it to mix into the sauce
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions
Add the cooked pasta to the crockpot and stir to combine
