A "Recipe" for Leadership
With our internship program at Kent State having a "Leadership Concentration", it is nice to see other similar examples of leadership tips and principles. It is especially reaffirming to see it discussed in a Dietetic Practice Group. To me, this indicates that The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recognizes the value of building great leaders within our field.
Although this newsletter is specific to The Food and Culinary Professionals DPG, the leadership issues are relevant for any dietitian and can be applied to other parts of the field.
Food and Culinary Professionals Tastings Newsletter (see pages 1 - 6 for Leadership article).
Many of these principles and tips are probably familiar to us interns, especially after reading "The Leadership Challenge" by Kouzes and Posner. I am sure, though, that there are also some new ideas relating to leadership that will be useful after reading this article.
