Food Stamp Cuts

Food Stamp Cuts During Holidays

The seasons are changing and this means that most of those fortunate to have full stomachs during the holiday season may so often donate to their local food banks. This is a usual trend during the holiday season but this year there may be a higher demand than supply. The recent congressional issues have caused large cuts to those that receive food stamps. The cut affects 47 million Americans. This to many may not seem like something that is hitting us here in Ohio. But this article is quoting two Ohioans! Which shows how close to home this issue is! About 1.8 million Ohioans food stamps have been cut due to the federal budget changes. This is the time of year we all can make a difference by volunteering and encouraging others to help local food banks feed those in our communities.
Feel free to read the whole article! It has some great graphics also!
