Managers who direct clinical nutrition programs across the continuum of care.
Members of the Clinical Nutrition Management (CNM) DPG are managers (or those interested in becoming managers) of clinical nutrition programs across the health care continuum — in acute, sub-acute and long-term care, outpatient settings and home health. As leaders in health care systems, they are responsible for developing and implementing nutrition programs that keep pace with the changing health care environment and conform to the cost limitations of managed care.
They work with clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimum patient outcomes and health system goals, and to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of nutrition care. The CNM DPG is an invaluable resource to those destined to be cutting-edge leaders in health care. CNM is committed to providing members with the knowledge and skills to advance clinical nutrition management practice into the future.

    The Management in Food and Nutrition Systems practice group (# 41) is also a great practice group for managers anywhere in foodservice: from hospitals to schools to universities to restaurants! Whether you drink milk for the protein, the nutrients, the flavor, or just like to switch it up, there are pros and cons to every kind. Here are some quick nutritional facts about each type to help you decide which is best for you. Animal-Based Milks  Whole Milk: The original diary drink. It gets a bad rap, but what whole milk has going for it, is that it’s in its proper nutritional form. Whole milk contains all of its original fat-soluble vitamins, A, E, D, & K, along with the fat to help you absorb them all. It also has the proper concentrations and ratio of polyunsaturated fatty acids, or your omega-3s and omega-6s, so that they are metabolized as they should be.
